Every standard below is enforced before load tender, not discovered as a problem after the truck has already departed.
FMCSA Verification Before Every Load Tender
APL verifies USDOT number, MC operating authority, safety rating, insurance certificate, and CSA BASIC scores before tendering any load. Carriers with Conditional or Unsatisfactory ratings, open out-of-service orders, or expired insurance are excluded from every tender. Verification is repeated every 30 days for all carriers in active rotation.
Every Accessorial Disclosed Before You Book
APL captures origin and destination details including dock height, liftgate need, commercial versus residential classification, and inside delivery requirement during quote intake. Every applicable accessorial is included in the initial rate. The invoice after delivery contains no charges that were not visible before the booking was confirmed.
GPS Monitoring With Deviation Alerts on All FTL
All FTL moves are tracked with minimum 4-hour GPS position updates. Time-sensitive or high-value loads are configured with 30-minute deviation alerts. GPS records are retained for 90 days on every load and are available immediately for Carmack Amendment freight claim support if loss or damage occurs at delivery.
Specialized Equipment Confirmed Before Dispatch
APL sources flatbed trailers for over-dimensional or top-loaded cargo, step-deck and RGN for oversize equipment, and heavy haul carriers for loads requiring state oversize and overweight permits. OSOW permit packages are arranged before the truck departs. The right equipment is confirmed at dispatch, not improvised at pickup when a problem is first discovered.
Team Driver for Coast-to-Coast Time-Critical Loads
Team driver service uses two alternating drivers to maintain continuous operation, delivering coast-to-coast FTL freight in 52 to 60 hours compared to multiple relay days with a solo driver. Atlantic Pacific Lines arranges team service for hard delivery deadline loads and for high-value cargo where extended terminal or rest stop dwell increases exposure.
HAZMAT OTR With CDL Endorsement and Route Compliance
Domestic HAZMAT transport requires HAZMAT-endorsed CDL, properly placarded vehicles, DG shipping papers in the cab, and route compliance with state restrictions by DG class. Atlantic Pacific Lines sources HAZMAT-certified OTR carriers with current endorsements and advises on routing requirements specific to your commodity and destination state before dispatch.
